wow. . . the power of the internet!

Wow, I am grateful to all of you & your kind words on the new site:
Cat Burns:

You outdid yourself.

First day of official "launch" has been a success, with the sale of "Twilight" this a.m., right out of the gates, to a new collector. Several new studio visits now also planned. Sometimes the process of painting is quite slow, steady and at times tedious. I often compare it to how one who writes poetry must feel. Moments of inspiration reigned in by massive editing & fine tuning. I don't think people realize how many long hours going in to an oil painting by most artists, but what's time when it's something you simply love & must do.

The quite solitude of the studio where one can think, express, create and this fast paced internet world are often so opposed to one another. I do prefer the studio where life slows down to a less hectic pace. The joy for me is all in the process in this old world medium of painting and creating, the publicly posted artwork is almost a strange & faraway disconnet. The powers of the internet & blog-esphere can make something created so privately, that no one has seen, immediately massively public, it's a real trip! However, I am always humbled & immensely grateful when through the powers of the internet a new artwork can capture & grab another person to the point that they, "get it", "feel connected", "simply must have it", and "it's mine!", now that is a true joy doubled. I love my clients, most are all close & fiercely loyal friends over the decades (you know who you are). Thank you, C.R. for buying the first painting from this new site! Welcome to the world of my collectors, and watch out, because rarely do they buy just one. You made my day. Hats off to you & my loyal patrons ~ Susan

Your site looks beautiful. I love the direction of your work with your triptecs - they are emotionally evocative and strong. Particularly, the city scape / ocean / tree triptec.

Just a note: I would love to see titles, dates and sizing when looking at them. Also, I would like to know what's currently available for purchase.

Wonderful job, Susan. Thank you!
